CBM: PDFs with Accessibility Features

This was a particularly interesting project for me as it was an opportunity to learn about creating highly readable documents for those with visual impairments and formatting PDFs for those who use screen reading devices (such as JAWS). The design brief required:

• following the corporate style guide
• reducing file size for easier downloads in regions where internet connections are less stable
• considering in-office printing costs by avoiding background colour blocks where possible

CBM is an international Christian development organisation, committed to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities in the poorest communities of the world, historically focussed on assisting the blind.
